Thanks for visiting my website, i'm Darren, however most people know me as Diz hence!

I am and natural history filmmaker currently working for the BBC Natural History Unit as a shooting researcher.

In 2013 I completed an MA in Wildlife Film Making at UWE with the support of the BBC Natural History Unit, culminating in the production of my BBC Earth Award Winning film 'Giants on the Edge'

The film marks the end of this journey. Its been a great experience, the project involved everything. From planning to problem solving, fast thinking to thoughtful editorial decisions and importantly, real experience working on a commissioned film in a wonderful part of the world. The production rounds off a year’s personal transformation from ambitious aspiring filmmaker to an accomplished self-shooting producer/director. For me right now, there couldn’t be a higher achievement than that!

Here's to an exciting future!
